• BetaAn early version released for people to try while it's still being finished. Expect rough edges.
• Closed modelA model you can only use through the company's own app or service. You can't download it or look inside.
• CloudOther people's computers, rented over the internet. Most AI you use runs in the cloud, not on your device.
• ComputeShorthand for computing power: the chips, electricity and time needed to build and run AI.
• Data centreA warehouse-sized building full of computers. AI models are built and run in these, which is why they use so much electricity and water.
